Nourishing Wellness Treatments for Skin, Body & Mind | Sunset Sessions | The Gentle Reset and More
This is a subtitle for your new post
Hello to my lovely Skin Cabin Community 🫶🏻
I hope all is well for you and your families and no doubt, like me, so happy to be feeling an inch of hope that spring feels in the air and the warmer, brighter spells are soon around the corner…
I have been loving the extra light, day by day, and how much brighter it make us feel. The sun has been creaping through the blinds in the treatment room more and more and it feels sooooo good!!
It’s been a busy spell since I last wrote to you; the winter, cosy season was so busy for treatments and my voucher-making skills ramped up a notch in December when so many of you bought/received vouchers for/from loved ones. It’s been so gorgeous welcoming new clients into my little skin cabin world too and providing space for well needed moments of escape, nurture, comfort and deep relaxation for you all.
The changes of seasons are gorgeous and our skin, and our minds, and lifestyles too, so cleverly and quite naturally adapt with the shifts but we certainly can feel and be more reactive to the contrasting conditions.
From the winter season we’ve had, our skin has faced the cold winds, the damp air, the drying heat indoors, warmer drinks and foods we have nourished our bodies with and the soaking of warmer water when bathing and cleansing. That, coupled with the slower pace I love to describe as ‘hibernation mode’ our bodies have craved and hopefully gently adopted, can pose some changes to our skin during the season.
As a result, and what I’ve experienced working with many of you in the treatment room over the last couple of months, is that quite often the skin can present a slower cell turnover and dehydration can be a little more present, leading to surface congestion, blackheads, a tighter feeling to the skin but with unexpected shine, an uneven texture and many feeling the skin is looking fatigued or dull. It can feel the effects of a more sluggish flow of circulation too, resulting in a lack of luminosity and glow, or stagnation beneath the skin’s surface leading to breakouts, or puffiness and fluid retention being more present. Heightened sensitivity has also been prevalent with additional heat and inflammation encountered within the skin, plus dry, flaky patches or the skin feeling delicate and sensitive to touch.
The skin truly is a wonderful and intricate organ and I have ultimate respect on how it works. My approach is all about supporting its incredible functions and processes and I’ve found over the years, it really is about working in true harmony with it which will always lead to the best, natural results. It’s been wonderful to support you and your skin throughout this last season through hands on work, integrative massage techniques and technology, and carefully selecting the very best ingredients and skincare during your treatment as well as at home, to soothe, hydrate, brighten, balance and nourish your skin.
The good news is that brighter days are coming and our skin will be thankful for that too! The change of seasons is an ideal time for a skin reset, and remember, I take the guess work out of choosing the right facial for you. Book in for The Bespoke and once we’ve chatted thorough your skin goals, your current skincare, lifestyle, diet and more, I will take a good look at your skin and plan exactly what you need to get it at its happiest and healthiest yet.
If your skin, mind and body are feeling in need of a good spring reset, have a browse the menu and get a treatment secured in the diary ✨

The winter season has kept me busy also with plenty of dreamy Muscle Melt Massages and Pregnancy Soothers. Nothing quite beats escaping the cold, getting tucked up into a warm, cozy bed and having your muscles soothed and tension melted away. I had a client recently who hadn’t had a massage in years and was treated to a gorgeous voucher for Christmas and after her treatment said that she had been planning to join the gym at the start of the year and instead she’s treating herself to monthly massages; she felt such benefit emotionally and physically. Massage not only helps to soothe tired, achy muscles but it really is amazing for boosting circulation, soothing your nervous system whilst bringing a sense of balance and calm.
The much-loved invigorating Legs Recharge will be back in full swing as the weather turns warmer and our legs are back out! A super popular treatment last summer… If you haven’t yet tried it, in a nutshell, it’s an invigorating hips to toes treatment with a rich blend of hands-on methods to actively stimulate the lymphatic and blood circulation, whilst smoothing and nourishing the skin, ironing out pockets of tension, resulting in the ultimate leg sculpting boost-think exfoliation, dry brushing, hot stone and sculpting massage plus lymphatic drainage via vacuum suction. Get in touch if you’d like to book in to get your legs in tiptop condition before a special occasion, your planned holiday or just for the spring/summer season ahead.
Since launching Skin Rocks at The Skin Cabin in September, it has been going down brilliantly into your skin treatments, with amazing feedback and visible results post facial along with elements of it seamlessly being added into your skincare routines at home for elevated results. It really has worked so well in harmony with iconic British skincare brand Liz Earle. It is a science-driven brand and the culmination of industry expertise by founder, world-renowned and trusted skincare expert and facialist, Caroline Hirons. Every formula across the Skin Rocks range has been developed with industry-leading labs and cosmetic scientists to ensure that the best active ingredients are used-there is no budget! Clinical testing to substantiate the efficacy and claims of every single active product is prioritised along with rigorous consumer testing- a brand with knowledge that’s vast, guidance that’s clear and products that work.
The ethos of both ranges totally resonate with my commitment to treating skin; working in absolute harmony with it, keeping it super simple with the best ingredients and formulations that deliver long-term benefits over quick fixes.
From glow-boosting hydration to balancing breakouts, strengthening your skin barrier, fading hyperpigmentation, or restoring youthfulness, the range really delivers!
If you’re yet to try Skin Rocks and keen to, just let me know at your next facial appointment and I can weave it in along with all the other Skin Cabin techniques and technology that you and your skin love.

They’ve always been really popular in previous years and it is honestly such a joy to team up with Daphné to offer these deeply relaxing evenings!
Daphné is an incredibly talented yoga teacher, and I have enjoyed attending her classes over the last 6 years and as many of you will know, I’ve recommended her to lots of you too!
